Family resemblance

A world’s class gives it a starting character: oceans and continents, dense cloud, fractured ice, broad atmospheric bands or molten ground. That shared character is what makes an Earth-like planet recognisable beside a gas giant.

A seed makes it particular

A seed is a small starting value that shapes a repeatable variation. Change it, and details of the surface, weather and storms can change with it. Return to the same seed, and the same world can be found again.

A world has neighbours

Planets occupy wider orbits around a star. Moons form smaller systems around their parent worlds. A system can be crowded with companions—or hold a star with no planets at all.

Pull back further

At the largest scale, stars gather in clusters and along filaments. Nebula light follows that structure, while dark dust interrupts it. The result is a cosmic web that gives every individual light a larger setting.
